In this 3-hour class, you will learn how to use industrial sewing equipment with trained professionals. Our sewing equipment includes an industrial Bernina, and an Overlock serger.
Classes will take place at the brand new Bridge Sewing Lab, part of the Co-Working facilities at Bridge Storage and ArtSpace in Richmond, California. This class is required for BRIDGE Co-Working Members interested in using the industrial machines in our Sewing Lab and a certification test will be conducted.
The cost of this workshop includes fabric materials, but please feel free to bring your own preferred, gently-used materials. (Grandma’s wool coat or recycled cotton sheets, etc.)
Additionally, sewing starter kits will be available for purchase ($40 payable in cash). The kits consist of small scissors, tape measure, small ruler, screwdriver for changing needles, threader (for Overlock), needle assortment, seam ripper, bobbins for our machines, basic thread colors, and pattern paper—everything you need to get started in the Sewing Lab!
This training is required for Coworkers interested in using the industrial sewing machine equipment. If you are not currently a Co-Worker at Bridge, you can join the same day as the training, or before. Click here to schedule a visit!
