Years ago I worked for Habitat for Humanity, an organization that helps low-income families achieve home ownership. My favorite part of the job was when, after hundreds of hours of volunteer labor, families finally received the keys to their new home. The joy and pride they felt were profound. In those moments, the real power of home was made clear to me.
Home is something we all deserve. The reality of the Bay Area market, however, is that the dream of home ownership can sometimes feel elusive. In my case, I bought a fixer duplex in an up-and-coming neighborhood and have never looked back. As a certified CoBuy agent, I can also help you buy a home together with friends or family. A little more about me: I’m a Berkeley native, a graduate of UC Santa Cruz, and a lover of nature, kids, art, architecture, design, music, food, simple pleasures, and big ideas. I worked for years in the nonprofit sector, helping to empower kids and underserved communities. Hawaii’s Big Island is my happy place. I live with my beautiful husband and quirky cat in the Richmond Annex.
